Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Boat Rental South France website and all boat rental, yacht charter, and related services we provide on the French Riviera. By making a reservation or using our services, you agree to these terms.
1. Booking & Reservations
All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by our team. By placing a reservation, you agree to the following:
- A deposit of 30% is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation
- The remaining balance is due 7 days before the departure date
- Bookings are considered confirmed only after receipt of the deposit and written confirmation from our team
2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- More than 30 days before departure: full refund minus a 5% administrative fee
- 15 to 30 days before departure: 50% refund of the total amount
- 7 to 14 days before departure: 25% refund of the total amount
- Less than 7 days before departure: no refund
3. Safety & Passenger Responsibilities
Your safety is our top priority. All boats are equipped with required safety equipment and operated by licensed skippers. Passengers must:
- Follow all instructions given by the skipper at all times
- Inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or mobility issues before boarding
- Refrain from bringing illegal substances, weapons, or hazardous materials on board
4. Weather & Force Majeure
Safety takes precedence over scheduling. If weather conditions (strong winds, storms, high waves) make the trip unsafe, we reserve the right to postpone or cancel the outing. In such cases, we will offer a full reschedule to an alternative date or a complete refund. Force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics) that prevent service delivery will entitle you to a full refund or credit.
5. Liability
Boat Rental South France and its skippers take all reasonable precautions to ensure passenger safety. However, maritime activities carry inherent risks. We are not liable for injuries, loss, or damage resulting from passenger negligence, failure to follow safety instructions, or pre-existing medical conditions. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the service.
6. Insurance
All our vessels are covered by comprehensive maritime insurance as required by French law. This includes civil liability coverage for passengers during the rental period. Passengers are encouraged to obtain personal travel insurance to cover trip cancellation, personal belongings, and medical expenses not covered by our policy.
7. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nice, France.
